i like poetry, autumn weather, gourmet cooking, grocery stores, road trips in texas with cotton fields as the destination, well-placed moments of snobbery, photography, the oregon coast, snooty theoretical critiques of society and especially pop culture, used book stores, repetitive series of objects (three pitchers, three acorns, three anything), spoons and bowls, nostalgia both sweet and bitter.

i hate being wrong, changing the cat box, radio djs, yappy dogs, suvs, the state of modern political oration, the taste of tarnish on silver in hot food, cold condensation in the bathroom after a shower, monkey bums, and toll roads.
